About Wound Professionals of Florida
Founded by Layne Winker, PA-C, Wound Professionals of Florida was created with a simple mission: to deliver expert, compassionate wound care directly to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Layne is a certified wound care specialist through the American Board of Wound Management and a nationally certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and completed her Physician Assistant training at Mercer University in 2015. After more than ten years of experience as a Physician Assistant and more than three years of working exclusively in wound care, Layne founded this practice to provide autonomous, patient-centered care with the flexibility and responsiveness that mobile medicine allows.
Her approach combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion. By bringing advanced wound care services directly to patients, she helps improve healing outcomes while reducing the stress and barriers often associated with traditional clinic visits.
Beyond her professional credentials, Layne is a devoted wife and proud mom of three amazing boys. Her dedication to family and community is reflected in the way she cares for her patients — treating each individual with the same respect, attentiveness, and commitment she would want for her own loved ones.

Insurance Accepted
At this time, we are pleased to serve patients who are covered by Medicare. As a growing practice committed to providing the highest level of personalized wound care, we have chosen to focus on Medicare to ensure a smooth, attentive experience for our patients.
We look forward to expanding our insurance participation in the future and will share updates as additional coverage options become available. Our goal is to continue broadening access to quality mobile wound care while maintaining the excellence and individualized attention our patients deserve.
